About Audio Triad Studios

Audio Triad was conceived to provide the artist with quality and affordable solutions in the areas of Audio Engineering, Production and Consultation. ATS is based in the Kansas City area with availability for travel depending on the clients needs.

  Brad Moon is the Owner and President of Audio Triad. His passion for music and creativity is the driving factor in all his endeavors. Brad started his musical experience at the age of 10, when he started playing Trombone and participating in Vocal Chorus. He followed the Trombone and later the Guitar into college, where he was in Marching Band, Pep Band, Jazz Band and Jazz Improv.
  In 1988, Brad completed all the course work for a local recording studio “City Spark” under the hospices of UMKC. After that, he interned for 6 months gaining valuable experience in all facets of Audio Engineering, including but not limited to: Mic selection & Placement, Room Acoustics, Wiring and Routing, Analog Tape Machine Care and Cleaning, proper Analog Tape Care and Alignment Tone, proper Console Gain Structure, Operation of various effects units, Vocal Technique, etc.
  Following his internship, Brad started his own recording studio, Quarter Moon Productions, using a simple ½” 8 track tape machine and a console. He did all of the wiring from the custom patchbay to the input panel in the main control room to monitor wiring. Over the course of years, he transitioned from tape to Computer HD recording with an analog console.
  Brad ran QMP officially until early 2003, when he decided to close the studio and contract out to individual acts. He is currently acting as Producer for several local Kansas City acts and is always looking to broaden his horizons. As well as the skills mentioned above, Brad also has experience in Logic Platinum, Pro Tools, Digital Consoles, Live PA - both FOH and Monitors, Stage Management and much more.
